New Business Development Manager - Bangalore

This position is based in Bangalore, India.

The New Business Development group works with Product, Engineering and other teams on new product incubation and exploratory efforts, technology and meta-data licensing, strategic partnerships, urgent special projects, and alternative distribution for existing and new business initiatives. Our team consists of creative, entrepreneurial, highly organized leaders, well versed in a broad range of technologies, who can spot opportunities, evaluate inbound inquiries, build partnerships, collaborate with many internal functional groups globally, and negotiate and close business deals.

Google is looking for a New Business Development Manager, a self-starter, to work closely with the Google product team on new product initiatives and key strategic relationships. Responsibilities include co-leading exploratory discussions with potential partners, evaluate opportunities, present recommendations to the management team, open doors, negotiate and close business deals. Our ideal candidate is a top performer who has a deep interest in the internet technology industry and Google products.

Deal and partnership experience, and an ability to communicate and collaborate with a broad range of constituents (product, engineering, marketing, sales, legal and top external executives) is a must. In order to succeed in this group, you also must be entrepreneurial, creative, open-minded, and adaptive. When interacting with internal and external clients, you will need to posses good judgment, be persistent and action oriented, and be highly collaborative.

Responsibilities:
Identify and (Co-)Lead exploratory discussions with potential partners.
Create and structure new business agreements/models; license technology.
Introduce, evaluate and recommend opportunities to the management team.
Negotiate and close strategic and revenue deals; and manage existing partners.
Communicate and collaborate with a broad range of internal and external constituents (product team, engineering, marketing, sales, legal and top executives).
Requirements:
BA/BS or equivalent required, CS/tech degree or MBA a plus.
Minimum 6+ years previous work experience including 4+ years of related experience in partner management, product management or product marketing in an internet or technology startup environment.
Experience identifying partners, analyzing and structuring complex deal structures with a proven track record of deal negotiation and execution.
In-depth experience operating within and leading cross-functional teams (product management, implementation, legal, finance, marketing, etc.).
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to formulate and articulate contractual, technical, financial and value points with partners and internal Google teams.
High level of comfort escalating and presenting key deal issues to Google senior management when appropriate; solution-oriented mind-set a must.
Ability to balance competing priorities and manage several time-sensitive project/deals at once in a fast paced environment with minimal direction.
Strong attention to detail.
Highly entrepreneurial, creative, open-minded, persistent, highly collaborative.
Passion for and understanding of Google products with the ability to quickly learn about new technologies.
